Back in March a couple with a single wide trailer called and wanted to know if we could take some teen kitties.  They had 19 cats and kittens and only two males were altered.  We took in 8 of the pretty teens, and when they found a few weeks later that they were going to be evicted, they admitted that they had six females, five of which had kittens and one that was due at any time.  They also had four more teens.  We took  a total of 31 cats and kittens, leaving six males for them to find homes for.  They were working to change their homeless status, and in March we had seven of the kitties altered, and had placed three.  Many of the kittens were just days old, so this was to be a long term rescue, the biggest that we have done at one time.  Many of the kitties were Siamese mixes, so when they got old enough they were easy to place.  For over 3 months we had two nursery rooms and one teen room devoted to this rescue.

The homeless couple is now settled in a bus in a trailer park.  The park is located in a lovely small town, and two of the female cats now altered and immunized have returned to the people they loved.
