SNAP Application: The SNAP program is limited to people with dogs and cats who are financially unable to pay for spay or neuter. SNAP may request documentation of your financial status. Download the SNAP application and then call Animal Services at (360) 352-2510 to check on voucher availability. If a voucher is available, they will schedule an appointment for you to come to the Shelter to pick up your voucher. There is a $30 copay for cats.

Purrfect Pals Free Spay/Neuter Vouchers: Purrfect Pals issues a limited number of vouchers monthly, based on funds available, for free public spay/neuter for cats and kittens which can be redeemed at participating low-cost spay/neuter clinics.
Feisty Felines: Feisty Felines is a local rescue group that provides transport for kitties to other clinics for low cost spay/neuter services. The vouchers from Animal Services apply in some cases.
Red Rose Animal Rescue: Red Rose Animal Rescue is a local rescue group that provides "community cat runs" for low cost spay/neuter services.
Humane Society of Mason County: Humane Society of Mason County in Belfair offers low cost spay/neuter for cats and dogs and other basic services.
Four Paws Veterinary Service: Four Paws is a clinic in Lewis County that focuses in spay/neuter and vaccinations for cats and dogs.
Pasado's Safe Haven: Pasado's has a variety of mobile spay stations that provide low cost spay/neuter services for cats and dogs.
Northwest Spay & Neuter: NW Spay & Neuter is a Tacoma area low-cost program that provides spay/neuter services for cats and dogs.
Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project: A bit of a drive, they have offices in Renton and Lynwood, but Feral Cat is an awesome low-cost clinic that provides spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations for cats.

Concern For Animals has a free pet food bank that is open to qualified owners on Tuesdays.
Covenant Creatures distributes supplies to various hubs and does outreach events. They provide food and other supplies.
Thurston County Food Bank offers pet food on a supply available basis.

Feisty Felines focus on feral cats and free roaming cats. Contact them if you have a feral cat that needs to be trapped and trapped/neutered/returned. They also help with fostering "spicy" (aka feisty!) kittens and cats and getting them into permanent homes.

Red Rose Animal Rescue focuses on both cats and dogs. They do trap/neuter/return work with feral and free roaming cats. They take in neonate kittens (tiny babies, bottle babies). They also take in and adopt out dogs.
Passionate Pussycats works with, well, cats! They do trap/neuter/return work and also foster and adopt out cats.
Joint Animal Services is our local municipal Animal Control entity. They take in animals of all kinds - cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, even farm animals! They foster them and adopt them out. They also address regulatory issues like animal hoarding and animal abuse.
Feline Friends works with cats in Thurston and Mason Counties. They rescue, provide spay/neuter services, and adopt out kittens and cats.
Onalaska Farm Sanctuary creates a safe haven for farm animals in need. They take in many different kinds of animals!
Whiskers Hope Cat Rescue focuses on trap/neuter/return of feral cats. They also have a foster/adopt program.
Oakbrook Cat Rescue is a foster-based rescue group located in Lakewood, but with many foster homes in the South Sound as well. They have a large foster/adopt program.
Seattle Humane is a large organization in Bellevue and offers a variety of services, including pet rehoming.

Temporary Foster Programs: On occasion people ask us about resources for temporary foster care while they are in a transitional housing situation or going into treatment. Seattle Humane is the only place we know of with a temporary foster care program.
Seattle Humane is a large organization in Bellevue and offers a variety of services, including a temporary foster care program called SPOT.
